Forget the fact that as I'm typing this, in typical indecisive English weather style, it is actually sleeting outside. In my head spring has sprung!
There were signs you see...
One week of sunshine and a hint of warmth and I'm done with winter. I threw open the patio doors and declared its time to roll about and frollick in the garden. So despite it still being a tiny wee bit cold we did just that. I'm nothing if not committed once I get an idea in my head...
I even put the washing out. No it did not dry in the conventional sense, but i'll give it points for effort...
They also served as a very useful child catcher when the need arose...
Btw I can't believe i'm blogging about my washing (again)
We pulled various forgotten toys from the dark depths of our garage. Otherwise known as the place where things get lost forever. Well not today messy garage. Not today!
I even found a space hopper hurrah!
Lucas was like 'um..what ...IS...THAT!!!?'
'Let me just get a little closer...'
'mine, mine mine...'
Although I have a strong suspicion it
will be a while before he gets the idea of how to use it...
So me and hubby decided to show em how its done.
Sort of...
As you can see from the above photo I wasn't bouncing much for fear of a photo of my boobs hitting my face in unflattering manner. As if there is a flattering way for that to happen...
Despite all these exciting toys Isaac was only interested in the grass. Apparently they are doing gardening at school. He keeps telling me we need to do some weeding. I'm like 'um yeah, sure, sounds super fun...'
And hubby can't be anywhere near a ball without NEEDING to teach some skills...
Sure he's smiling now...
Actually hits to the face aside, Lucas is digging the ball games. While Isaac on the other hand was still grazing the grass...
Aw those guys...
I like Spring for the same reason I like New Year. It presents a time for change, to renew, to spring clean your life a little. This day I was feeling that...
I'm ready for spring. I'm ready to be outside more. To play more. To enjoy more.
And this particular day we had so much fun we stayed out while the sun went down....
Inspired by the novelty of actual fresh air we went for a moonlight walk before the kiddies bedtime counting the stars as they appear...
*Sigh* Spring you had me at slightly sunny spell...
