Little things

Warm weather and blossom...
Like lots of blossom...

Bike riding and running again...

Unexpected simultaneous naps...
Oh the cuteness

Masking tape for all its uses...

Beautiful baby blues...
Little presents from the garden...
Evening walks in the woods...
*happy sigh*

My kids are awesome!

But damn it if the kid isn't turning into me a little! Always day dreaming, dressing up, pretending. Oh man I love it. He has football at school on a Fridays. He likes it but spends a large portion of the time wandering around on the outskirts of the game clearly daydreaming. The other mums laugh not unkindly at his little antics. Tim watches on baffled while I just smile, seeing myself in little boy form. And these days he is always drawing, colouring, painting and making. I love it so much.

When Lucas was born everybody who gazed upon him exclaimed 'Oh Sian he looks EXACTLY like you'
'I know' I'd say proudly 'exactly like I did as a baby'.
But unlike me Lucas is so strong and naturally coordinated. He can at 3 years old kick and throw a ball. All day he climbs, he jumps, he rolls, he jumps some more. Swimming, riding his bike, he takes to it all quite naturally. I love watching him move.
He is fearless.

The things that make you different are usually the things that make you beautiful.

I want them to grow up to feel good about themselves.

I want them to embrace the things that make them and others unique.

I want them to dance like no one is watching.
I want them to have courage.

I want them to always be kind and compassionate to others.

I want them to be able to live their life with an appreciation of the moment,
for the simple pleasures of everyday.

And I really want them to become who they truly are.

Spring is Stirring

Shh it's finally happening...
The sun is warming the bare winter trees...
And the ground beneath our feet...

Slowly but surely...

Things are waking up...
 Oh hello there Spring...
It's been a long winter without you.

Easter

The day before Easter Sunday we made Easter treats...
 As usual it got messy...

We used natural dyes on our boiled eggs again this year...
I'm not gonna lie, I thought they came out awesome...

The next day the boys awoke to a little surprise waiting for them...

Then it was the morning egg hunt...

Inside each egg were some chocs and a little friend...

Isaac feels like he scored big this year...

The chicks were not impressed by their new surroundings one little bit...

Even when played with...

I can't imagine why?

We also gave them dinosaur eggs. Because those are so easy to come by...

You put the eggs in water...

And wait for them to dissolve to reveal your new dinosaurs...

They loved them so much, it seemed like the perfect present...
So I don't want to talk about the fact within a day we had lost most of the parts for both dinosaurs. We have a head from one and a tiny arm from the other *sigh*.At least they are still enjoying their colouring books...
Man my windows are dirty. Then we were off to visit Tim's parents and later my parents too.
