St Fagans National history Museum in South Wales

Sometimes I wish I could go back in time...
To a simpler time.Where we were more in tune with nature, seasons and ourselves. No TV, no internet, no apps etc to distract us from really living...Wait...In reality I'd like to be more of a tourist. You know? Just pop over whenever I felt like it because I don't want to actually give up the TV, the internet and the apps etc that distract me.Plus I'm rather fond of modern medicine and equal rights..
But I'd love to actually walk down the street to see and feel what it was really like. And we found this village in Wales recently that gives you exactly that...Have I mentioned how much I freaking love Wales...?
It's called St Fagans National History Museum .It has a 16th century Castle and gardens...

With a surrounding open air museum village...

You can walk around and go inside these historic re-erected buildings...
And even buy from the old fashioned shops...

You can really imagine you are back in time.Well...except for all the other visitors, the ice cream stands and the small carnival...

And apart from parking it's completely free! which I can't quite believe.I didn't take enough photos because I was too busy drinking it in but it is really really worth a visit.

  1. What a beautiful place! It looks so peaceful there. Wales is a place I'd love to visit one day- my sister was there for about 8 months and she loved it.
